The firs were about 15 to 20 ft and the rest of of stuff 2to4 inches caliper . All of the trees came in looking nice but the engineers of the project wanted to redo all the plans .So all the tree sat for 3 weeks with little or no care so by the time they were ready to plant most were stressed I was glad to see them all in the ground

Wow, that's a lot of trees of that size to plant, good job. Did you have to give a survival guarantee? If so make sure you have all the paperwork, delays documented, etc.

The company I work for usually does guarantee plant material. These trees are an exception the people that want the trees planted go pick them out buy them at nursery a semi hauls them to us we unload ,they mark out where they want them and we plant them.

I'm guessing then that the golf course is going to be taking on maintenance from here on? If so - sweet! Maintenance is why I don't plant.

I guess what I was trying say was since they buy the tree they are responsible for any replacements I am sure some of the trees I have planted here over the yearshave died . I would guess I have planted close to 500 trees on this course over the years . So I am sure that some have died but I guess I could think that they all have lived just to make myself feel better but I am sure some have died . I have got 26 more to plant tomorrow depending on the weather .

Sounds like a nice gig you got going there. Those are the customers you want to keep happy, not that you don't treat all your customers well, but some get instant attention.
