Just grab a cold beer from the creek mate! lol

So you get sap out of a maple tree and boil it? For how long?

Then what, you sell it or eat a lot of pancakes? Or do you make grog from it??

Got any pics of how you get the sap?

I will try to get some when I get back. All the pics I have of that are from a film camera. I sell some, give some to friends and good customers(everytime they eat pancakes they see my name.I also make some into sugar which I use. We boil all day and night. 40 gallons of sap need to be boiled down to 1 gallon.

That is a pretty neat operation you've got going there. Is that an old commerical syrup boiler you are running? I've never seen anything like it.

Treeco: It is a waterloo small 2x6 evaporator. They still sell them today. Since I was a kid we used one my grandfather made out of a 275 gallon oil drum. It works well.
