Default Poplars to come down

Couple of Poplars to put on ground in Edinburgh. Front leaning one has a interesting included stem that extends about 3m to where the two stems cross over.

Hopefully bomb them out on Monday, clean up should be simple as we only have to put it all back into the same area -no chipping just rake the grass.
Apparently they want the logs for seating so I think we will take a couple of planks off and give them some flat bits to sit on.

Will take the camera along and hopefully get some pics of them coming down.

Pines to come down. I will bee taking down 2 Black Pines next week, they are both leaning on a much larger Black Pine. Owner says they have been like that for 20 years. Neighbours have told him they hear them creacking in the wind.
Also a fair sized beech to fell too. I,ll take some pics and post them on here next week.
Just finished some pruning work today for a Trust i do work for, allso had to fell 2 Cherry,s one full of rot and decay the other between 2 properties and the limbs were failing.

And hey, Climb safe out there.

Rob.

Here's some pics of the first Poplar (with dodgy inclusion). Decided not to climb to top it out and just climbed up to first limb and removed it as it went out to the side, so we could fell tree on to rugby pitch.
you can see the point where it split on hitting the ground.

Threw in a pic of Matt going up to remove limb of Siccamore before we felled tree.

And last pics are of me up second Poplar before removing top left section.
Hopefully the wind scoots off soon so we can fell the last stem.

Cheers, think the worst part was having to pick up any twig on the rugby pitch so the kids didn't get them in their feet.

Looks well there, you did yourselves proud on that clean up. I find on such a job like that i end up going over most of it again because most of the labourer,s i,ve ever had working for me say all done boss and you can clearly see it aint.
Looked a bit wet under foot there Treeson so did you have to barrow or carry all tools and equipment to site?? I hate that, getting old me LOL. Mind you i do have a Torro buggy for that type of job great fun driving it. Carry,s 2of us and all the gear we ever need.

Great pics.

And hey, Climb safe out there.

Was a bit wet underfoot, had to carry everything from the Landrover parked on the other side of the field. We managed to get the boys from grounds staff to give us a hand carrying the gear across and give us a pull on the pull rope.
3 days later we were back to put a willow on the ground and the ground was frozen solid so we got the Landrover on the pitch to pull it over, makes life that little bit easier.
