Hey,
Nice pup, Mate, be shore to raise him well, Blue Cattle dogs can be right buggers, My young brother had one called "Bandit" and boy was he a cow,I really don't know how he never got sued because It bit and ripped a fair share of folk on and off his property...Bandit and me had an understanding..he didn't bite me, and I didn't punch him in the snout! I know it sounds cruel but you have to make your peace with some breeds and cattles can be real fiesty.Good Luck.

Bastids like to nip you on the back of the heel (the tendon) when you take you're eye off them.

That's their job, nipping at sheep feet.

Good dog, smart but has the country life bred into them, be firm.

Lovely pup but as others are intimating blue heelers a working dog, needs to be worked and worked hard every day. Also needs to be very well socialised to ensure she knows just how low on the ladder she sits!!! Otherwise.....watch out for your tendons!!!!

But I'm sure you did all the reading before hand...so I'll repeat lovely pup..I think I love dogs more than trees and people.

I have a blue heeler!
I think she's the most intelligent of all the dogs I ever had. She learns fast!
She's excellent at killing snakes too!
She's gotten kind of fat now though but when she was younger, I'd play fetch the stick with her and sometimes I'd tease her by just holding the stick and act like I was going to throw it and she'd get impatient and jump up and bite me in the armpit! Of course she immediately knew she messed up when she did that!

Yes some do get quite fat/round and look like little kegs with legs running around,If you get a real good bluey you can actually see like a blue haze of colour when you look at the dog, The red cattle has the worst rep for being fiesty(Bugger) As they grow you'll learn when they have to be put into their encloser for their own good, I loved my Cattle dog when I had one when I was younger I called him Hoggy he was a rip snorter. We have a Rotty now called Jack, four siamese cats purbreeds,I'll tell you they are little people The big male calls mom as my wife pulls up after work, And a cockatiel that knock's on it's cage as you aproach the front door oh yeah it laughts like my wife..LOL.
