Ok here's what I've got on my laptop, yes I know they're a bit arty but you know sometimes after a few ales you feel like looking at leaves ok....

The first two are of ne growth on Millettia pinnata, a common tree up here esp in areas of water harvesting, creek banks etc. the whole tree looks like this, and I missed the deeper colours that were present a few days before.
DSCF6273.JPG
DSCF6275.JPG

The next is new growth on Swetinia (bit of a cheat since its wouldn't be over the whole tree
DSCF6347.JPG

This one is old foliage on a Planchonia careya (cocky apple) growing in the bush
DSCF6278.JPG

And the last is one my current loves Barringtonia acutangula the grow anywhere tree tough small and beautiful, look at that colour and tell me you're not moved She's lovely...

Knocked down this Sydney Blue Gum (Euc. saligna) today. Was a beautiful tree, just in the wrong spot. It was lifting up their drive way so it had to go.

The canopy

Spot the climber.

Limb walk - Action shot

Over the house and into the drive.

Time for a break.

There is one more pic in the attachments, it was to big to embed so ya just gotta click on the linky :P.

Nice stuff, those jobs are the sweetest.

Looks like ya using the loops and biner idea, right? Fast on fast off, no knots, no BS on the ground, head over to your next rig whilst the groundy is dragging, beautiful.

Nice shots too.

Yeah the sling n biner idea works great. Suzie was the person behind the camera - she's getting pretty good at it, hence the two action shots.

Default Conifer/Euc Take down

Hi All,
This is what we done today,

The mess

Deformed Euc.

John tying the knot

The aftermath.

Turned out good, a couple of lebanese blokes came with their own saw and asked for the wood, so we gave it to them - beats loading it

Far out, look at all the dust on this ole' thread... Figured it was time to post up in it again - we cant let Jason and Trevor get all the replies and views now can we?

This was a Melalueca we cleaned up... It got blown over during the Newcastle floods storm so it was awhile back...

Thar she is...

Basically crunched the fence and snapped a few branches off the tallow wood.

The majority of the canopy we cut down with the HT75.

All cleaned up... Cleaned up the snapped branches on the tallow wood too.

And this is a cocos we removed from their property aswell while we were there.

When I removed that cocos, I used the Double block buck with our 066 - that's a nice solid technique Streyken.

You used a stihl ms660 to cut a cocos palm?

Too good a saw to stick in one of them, bit big too dont ya think?

Or am I missing something?

46 is plenty for a cocos, 44 good too, 26 bit gutless.

True, True, I cant remember exzactly why we did use it More than likely our over saws were in for a service..but I tell you it sure did slice and dice that bad boy real quick, John usually uses our 365 for the thicker palms on the way down, when we can't drop them on the full...horses for corses..1 less chit stick

Well about 3 weeks ago we removed this Brush box. The owner was installing a pool and it was in the way.

Was a beaut' of a job cause at the end his mate wanted the firewood .

The tree - me setting my TIP.

Hand held section, the whole tree was done in hand held's and scarfs. Had just enough room to place and drop it.

The next hand held

Going up - Featuring the Martin hitch.

Indeed. One of the coppers I worked for last year.. We were the 2nd quote there. They told the first guy to piss off, because he was there trying to get unreceipted cash outta them lmao.

Speaking of coppers, I got a call the other day from some guy pretending to be from some sponsor group for the police... Anyways to cut a long story short, I asked him for his badge number and he said stuff ya then and hung up! Ha! Dam con artists.

Default Tallow Wood Removal

This was a Tallow Wood that we removed for one of our clients... It was cracking and pushing over his/councils reatiner wall that was 4 metres high(Basicallly holding his whole backyard in place)

We whacked to cocos palms there aswell. Oh yeah I also got bitten by a huntsmen on this job too .

There the tree is, a shed under neath, and two fences within a metre. Note the lateral branches.

We cradled these boys out, probably 2 metres above the shed, were the lowest ones.

Limb Walking up this 80*

Limb Crawling for the Tip Tie.

Gooooooonskeeeeeeees.

I see they get them long branches down there too.

At least they're not slippery powder white limbs like other gums, you can shuffle out there OK.

Bad spot to work, would have been a real bugger on the ground dealing with them long limbs in that gap.

Plenty of slewing and a GRCS would have been handy to winch them up!

Jeez gotta dust off this ol' girl and get her live again.

I tell ya what after working on those Cypresses at Mt Wilson every tree including this one seems so tiny to me now...

Took down this gum tree on thursday, all up it took about 6-7 hours to dismantle. Got a hell of a bloody kick back when the nose of the bar split on the 200, lucky it kicked back into the wood I was cutting. So we rushed down and bought a new one set her up and away she went beautifully.

Canopy Shot.

This gum was that snappy that when I dumped this limb I'm out on that it smashed itself into 4 separate pieces.

Few more limbs down.

Descent for lunch

More clearence limbwalk.

Chunkin' it down.

The height is alot more then what it seems in this pic.

Taking off a few more chunks with the 66 before we felled it.
