This is one of my favour parks in Auckland. Was planted at the turn of the century by the First Catholic Bishop to Come to New Zealand, St Francis. The park is now run by the local council. Most people dont even know that it is there as its off the road and not really sign posted. Home some huge Ficus trees, including one that is rumoured to be the largest exotic tree by volume in New Zealand. Some very interesting specimens including a huge Queen Palm, huge Norfolk Island Hibiscus and various Queensland Kauris..... ![]() |

Heres a picture of the Queen Palm, Norfolk Island Hibiscus and Queensland Kauri. Also a large Norfolk Pine.....
