I went to the Snowies recently with the Aust Plant Society. Here are some pics from varying altitudes: the alpine area above 1900m. Being treeless, it probably won't be a big hit in this forum  |

rehab works at Rawson Pass (2100m) Our ski lodge at Charlotte Pass. Being experts in the field, it didn't take us long to find our first snow gum. |

the western fall of the main range plunges from 2200m to 400m wet montane forest at 900m: the western side of the range is wetter, allowing the growth of Dicksonia antarctica |
