I actually took the camera with me today it always gets left on my desk when i leave, so here are a few poplars we dropped today, i was doing the line clearance work and jeff was using the two 5 tonne winches on the back of the tractor good day had by all. i decided to climb without spikes today to push my self to get into position i find i get lazy when spurring. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Had a willow to do on friday the customer wanted a 50% reduction so i gave him the talk and he agreed to let me do my work then he could comment, he was afraid that the dead wood would hurt one of his grandchildren and the tree might fall onto the road, I went for dead, damaged, diseased and crossing then reduced the tips.he was really happy with the result and had never seen a tree pruned like that he thought you had to lop and top. Before: After: ![]() then i came across this poor ash on the road side this is nottinghamshires idea of tree care im writing to the main contractors tonight about this. |

| Thanks mate I try my best weeping willows are the hardest to do because they are so weak and getting to the tips is hard at times. someone had perviously attacked it low down barber chair left lopped branches ect, so that took a bit more work but i love this type of job.

One of todays pruning jobs before and after! I had to make some bigger cuts than i wanted as the little darlings(kids) had ripped the lower branches and split them lengthways, this tree was just a mass of criss crossing branches, pictures don't really do it justice. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Well this week has been a whole lot of different elements i started working with some forresters i done some climbing to dismantle the tops out of some trees that were over the road and done some tonnage while i was there just to show i wasn't "just another bloo*y treesurgeon" this is the forwarder they were useing ![]() ![]() Then it was off to do an electricity take down these Fraxinus were completely f***ed you can see the hole left by the branch falling off i had to brace the tree before i climbed it. it was like piccadilly circus with people taking pictures from every house while i was climbing do a cut turn around and there is someone with a bloo** camera clicking away. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() then i finished the week by trimming 100 meters of 6 meter high hedging jeez i hate leylandii so i finished with one of these ![]() be safe G

| cherry picker if you can get one in but on this one we used a magic carpet (scissor lift) and ladders used both because the access was poor on parts, its a crap job to do, you get conifer rash and gummed up to hell, those cutting get everywhere and i mean everywhere.
