Default Felled a Maple last Saturday. Pic's

My Father and I finally felled the large maple in my backyard. We had to cut a small dogwood also that I wanted gone 1st. We removed it so a branch off the back side of the maple had somewhere to go. Dad wanted to get as much weight off the back side.
We roped it up fairly high to keep pressure on the shelf. Used rope and a chain hoist hooked to my friends truck front frame/bumper. It worked very well and came down just where he wanted. Also used a 10" wedge to lift it at first.
I used my 200T for alot of the limbing and am impressed with the power of this saw. It cuts 8" diam with no issue at all. We used Dad's saw for the big stuff and was sure glad he brought it with him. His saw is plenty powerful for this kind of work. It's a Johnsered 2165 with an 18" bar.
MY 8YO son took the photos, but the battery died just when the tree was coming down.

Nice looking tree was it sick or just in the way of something?

I'm sure that you'll hear some comments about the lack of PPE in your photo's and rightfully so. I'm sure that all of us are guilty of this at some point but accidents can happen in a instant.

Not unhealthy at all just getting too big for the area.
I'm sure I'll get slammed, oh well I got thick skin. I took quite a beating for the branch I cut off a few weeks ago from the posted pictures/comments. Makes you think and look at things different.
I guess I go by what i've been around and experienced in my life. I've been around saws and tree felling since I was old enough to go into the woods with my Dad. We always burned wood. He never once wore a hardhat or ear protection in all those years. I'm not condoning it whatsoever, and now I make him wear ear plugs and as you can see I had them in too. I did not have my helmet on as it was warm and the tree was down, I know not a good excuse.

Thanks for doing the pic's. I could not figure it out. On the other site it does it automatically.
I guess the tree was about 60-70 ft. Big enough for me for sure. The guy that came and chipped up the brush pile said he could not fit another branch into the truck. Good thing or I would have had to pay for another trip. Now the stump needs to get done. It will take alot longer than the last one he did.
