Default Everyone >> Need a good image host?

You must have so many photos - have you considered getting them on an image host?

About $25 per year with one like Image Event which has no ads.

You can store 1500 megs for that.

Do already do that?

This server's got tons of space but yes there's a lot of image places .... I suppose that way the person putting them up has an inventory of them at their control.

So what some members might like to do is get image (pic) hosting place, load ya pics to that them link them here ... but for me I just stick them here.

I wonder how many you'd get if you Googled "free image hosting" ... gawd, I just did there's heaps of them.

This one here http://www.imgplace.com/ says no limit to storage capacity or bandwidth ... just cant load up anything bigger than 1.5mb, crazy isn't it? Only a few years ago you were struggling for free space and now there's no limits. The free ones like ??????????? and ?????????? have served people well for years.

I thought you might like to display your own album from in here.

You know my albums, like the mushroom one?

It's really from here...

http://imageevent.com/mdvaden

But I put the code they give me in a blank page of my own, so it looks like its on my site.

That's http://http://imageevent.com

They have a free trial for a few weeks where you can try it out. You can adjust the colors, sizes, captions, etc. Very easy.

Oh I see, good idea.

They cop the bandwidth too. But I got like 200 gig of space and unlimited bandwidth so I'll be OK for a long long time.

Darn good idea for many though. Those sites also have some tools that help people for resizing, captions etc etc

The last time I read Image Event, there was no limit on Bandwidth.

Just my tree album alone, there, has had near 2,500 views in just the past month or two. I think I reset the counter last mid-December.

It was around 45,000 album views at that time, after about 2 years of being hosted online there.

In two years, I was only aware of about one 2 hour period when the site was offline.

200 gigs that you have is a lot.

I think the main benefit in the Image Event host is the simplicity for size options, number of columns, captions, etc..

Photos can be re-arranged with a click on a number, etc., or shifted to new albums by selecting and choosing "move" or "copy".

At least if you are ever interested, that's the one I'd recommend; having experienced it for 2 years.

The link below is one I have found and use.

5gb free = if you want more it costs you.

And some free prints each month depending on how much space you use.

Lastly. You can make some money from it as well.

Go have a look.

Gawd

Don't have a few beers and go there.

I think he's been eating a few too many.

But seems to have lots of info, bit full on in the psychedelic scene though.
