Great pics .... it was a very "full" tree. What about the barrel, how did you deal with that?

Was a very healthy tree, gd one to climb. The trunk was a gd size, i blocked the trunk down by hand piece by piece as i only had a small landing area, i used the foams( as i learnt from one your videos) to absorb impact, also had logs on both sides of landing area to prevent logs from going anywhere. Got the log down to about 20 ft and then felled it in one piece.

Somewhere inbetween. The bark readily seperates so no need for wing cuts, hinges will hold till the face closes.

sorry first of all bout the negative post; but wtf is this cowboy doin in the tree without a helmet!! he says hes a sub cont.presumably has insurance?helmets are good! and they protect ya head, try to geta payout from a head injury if you werent wearing PPE. secondly - 2 days for that tree? maybe he was having a half hour break after every hang. im all for giving praise when due but i cant give credit to unsafe work methods. |

Great job with that one. It's not easy when the tree is surrounded by everything.. could see the house, pool, everything in the picture. Well done and thanks for posting the images.
