Hi all! I am hoping someone can help us. We have no idea what type of tree this is. We are really trying to save it and we aren't certain if it is healthy. Any input would be greatly appreciated. |

Could we maybe get an upclose picture of the leaves? It cetaintly doesn't look healthy. I would certaintly recommend contacting a local arborist and getting their input.

The first thing it reminded me of was privet, but I've not seen one quite that big! A close-up of the leaves on the branch would be great. Are those shoots at the bottom coming from the same plant? If so, are they from below a graft near the base of the trunk?

Looks a lot like a maple or a privet, with new growth coming from the base -- the parent stock if grafted, or rootstock if not. ID needs closeup of leaves.

I have posted 4 more close up's of the leaves. I would like to thank everyone for their input, thus far.

Hi Hmryan00 ![]() Looks like a Viburnum to me, now that you have posted the photos of the leaves. There are fungal problems that affect this genus, look for 1-2mm dark spots on the leaves, upper and lower surface. Are there any present? One of the Arborists your way will pick up on this and probably be able to help you more than myself with the relevant treatment available in America. Regards Julie |

Julie, Thank you! We are going to stop by a nursery later this afternoon and see what they recommend. |
