Gidday guys, here a crane job with a bit of different, we had to removed a lot of old big phebaliums shrubs. the trouble was that the owners had no drive way or any other way so we had to use the next door drive way ,but wanted to keep the mulch, so we got two bins, bring the shrubs over with the crane, full up the bins and get the crane to lift them over back to the owner place to dump of. it went really well |

Phil, If you put a little angle on one side of the bin, then you could dump without raking $hit out. You don't lose much in capacity. I fabricated one about 3 years ago and use it for all kind of stuff but esp loading firewood with my crane.

I tried to upload a pict that I got on before but it was too big now. It is in my firewood thread (under firewood, etc...Treevet's firewood setup). No big deal, same as yours, just got a slanted, reinforced end on one side.

thanks treevet, I did go back and looked at your wood bin and see what you mean, but as it was , them bin belong to the crane company and was lucky to have them on the day. As you may have notice, one of them bin is a concrete bin and didn't work better than we thought. cheers

Better then filling up wheelbarrows and lumping up the road to the property. All of you looked absolutely filthy when we turned up in the arvo to take the bins back to the cranies yard! Good job for a friday. |

The bins are just a great tool to go out with any crane job. You can Miniskid small stuff into it or rakings, then dump into the truck. Lots of other uses like the chipping above and stumpgrindings.
