I've seen the Image of God in the Tree! I REPENT! Call down thy demons upon the land, and they shall smite the heathens with great wrath and fires in the sky! The image of god is upon us, clothed as a man wearing a fedora hat and a trenchcoat, with some nice wingtip shoes!

This was actually pretty creepy when I first saw it, I had to go photoshop it a little bit to help you guys out.

Great to see your pics of the clean-up from black saturday. Not surprised some failed...I was the chainsaw operator on the night of black saturday with the convoy that pushed through from whittlesea to kinglake, escorting ambulances, mica paramedics and a doctor (first emergency support to get all the way through to kinglake). Anyway we were clearing trees off the road, you could hear them fall all around the convoy, and there was this one dodgy looking burning tree still standing on the edge, and we were clearing one on the road...dunno how I sensed it, but it knew it was falling, and it landed just a little more than 3 metres behind my heels...the ground shuddered as this 3ft diam tree landed somehow none of us on the ground were hit...they sometimes say on the fireground it is more good luck than good management with trees...i think i have had my good luck for the year.

PS it took nearly 2 hours to get from whittlesea to kinglake due to the mess on the roads

That picture No. 7 is pretty impressive as well as the next one of the guy standing next to the stump in the truck bed. Some heavy lumber there!

These pictures will be in a museum in the future to show the kids what trees used to look like many years ago.

Great job and thanks for sharing.

Red cars do tend to make the trees angry.

At least you can get a tower to that tree Ace, still a lot of big wood there!
