look the 3120 is a very good saw, we run 3 3120's, but you have to turn the oil flow right up, thats the only problem that we have.We use to have 088's but they keeped blowing up, think they have a heat problem with them, ive been told?

It took just 2 days to distmantle, chip and fall the trunk down(crew of 5 men).Alot of rigging was used on this tree aswell. We don't have to take the wood but it was removed the next day by a tip truck contractor. We have the stumps to do aswell (total of 3 stumps),hav'nt started them yet i will get some pics for you john.

Yes it's 64mm polypropelene, the breaking strain is around 16+ton ![]() We only use it for the really big rigging jobs and that was one, i took some pics of the rope for you.

I like using some of our 16mm polypropelene for quick tied topping strops on palms... Cheap and effective. ![]() Thanks for taking the pic for me Ace.

| Yeah it is and I agree, but it is alot more risky/dangerous when you're working in a confined area like the the picture I put up... Had near rotten wooden fence one side, house on the other and there were like 7 kids running around uncontrollably - popping their heads around the corner to take a look (they finally settled once they found their seat on the roof of their house watching me... lol)

I would say your going to get a call about that gum when it drops a limb or two after the right wind, I,m only guessing but I would say that those Cypress would have protected it from the wind on one side, and therefore the limbs on that side do not have the strength (0r stucture) to deal with wind. more work I suppose |

How long do you reckon it would take to bring that monster gummy down? Must have 100' spread at least on it beside the multiple leaders.

By the end of the second day we should have all the branches back to the main limbs, there's alot of wood thats needs lowering and cutting. The next day would be timber time, by this time there would be a mountain of timber, total of 4-5 days to have it on the ground with a good crew and equip. Then move all the wood, no thanks (crane job). That Stump would take a good day, may be 2 (moving the mulch out of the way) with 2 grinders thats for sure!!!!.Then weather comes in to play, it would be 1 big week ![]() .![]()

A tree like that would have to go for around $20k to $30k. Tell me, do you get hacks and low ballers competing for trees like that? I'm just wondering.
