It looks like a 4 stage extension arm on that truck, or is that just the effects of the fisheye lens?

treeshaveneeds,The lower boom has 4 tele extensions and the fly has 2 tele extensions.
Total of 8 booms with a full height of 60m.
The boom machine was working on Melbourne shipping contol tower at 48m up.

Want the truck!!!!

the fisheye gives everthing an odd prespective but from an artistic standpoint offers a bit more action to the shots, though i personally prefer standard or a keystone for a more honest perspective of the work. true, a keystone will still make things look taller but the bend in the fisheye makes it much harder to judge distances. that's why we use it alot in skateboard shoots, makes short grinds look long and small jumps look like leaps of faith.
nice focus on the shots too by the way. maybe try a closer (less warped) fisheye. it still gives the impression of motion but with less distortion near the center. this makes for a more honest picture but preserves the feeling of action or, in the case of the bucket shot motion (falling).

keep 'em coming!

oh, and how far was #4 leaning? that's the main reason i mention "more honest pictures" it looks fallen over because of the lense but i'm guessing it was still near vertical. just asking

2nd Gen,

That tree had failed on the edge of the road and was leaning at a 45 degrees into the other trees over private property.
If you look at pic 4 its hang up in the neighouring trees.
