Cool pics mate, Im with RC1 we have our fair share of numpties that think they are tree specialists I have even had people coming upto me complaining that i havnt notified the residents of an estate that we were working on and that we should stop what we are doing ive heard it all before. They hate the trees outside their house and when you come to do work on them they moan because 'its such a lovely tree'

Its always very hard getting owners to understand that what they want done to the tree on their property isn't the best thing for the tree or for them. We have all faced the same dilemma I'm sure.
We've done jobs after literally days of careful negotiation and explainations, only to drive past weeks later to see the lop job they wanted done from the outset done by someone else??? So they've paid twice!!! and had their tree wrecked Nucking futs some people honestly Thats what beer and rum were invented for..

Ace, that tree you pruned, what type was it? Awefully messy prior with lots of dead, similar to our swamp mahoganies up here.

Its a Euc sp. i think it was a broadleaf box.It was part of the shire's building plan permit that it had to stay, the driveway cut is to close and it has raised soil around the base.No drip line zone in forced, just don't get it, but as along as it stayed they are happy.

A lot did come off that. Hefty weight reduction but was certainly close to targets. The pruning probably wont have done near as much damage as the construction did, we just dont get an instant before and after perspective with that. The new house never should have been built that close, or the tree not retained. Cake and eat it too...

Glad at least they didnt lop it.
