For those of you who dont know Rotax is the brains behind the worlds fastest chainsaw. I'm in the process of putting a vid together, but here's a classic off the net to let those of you who don't know of him and his saw what it's all about. I believe he's a machinist/engineer bloke for Boeing, so has the techno skills for building a monster like this with accuracy and fine tolerances. I believe he had to build many components including the bar etc ... aint no saw shop helping you out here. Enjoy, and Rotax, keep winning. ![]() Oh, and here's his most serious competitor, the Binford saw. http://www.palmtreeservices.com.au/video/binford.wmv

That Binford Ekka, you can actually see the chain lifting off the bar. Some piece of kit. Wonder what horse power it runs at. 0-60

That doubled ended job, an engine each end. Sorry, I just thought if that chain busted some-one is gonna wear it, there's no safer end? There's no doubt about you guys with ya saws, ya'll friggin mad! I really enjoy the entertainment, it's surreal.

Rotax - Revving those beasts up for the first time with a chain on, does it not make you a little bit nervous. They look awesome. But like Ekka said, ya mental...I'd poop maself using 1 of them.. ![]() Found these pix of old saws at Myerscough College taken when I was there training. (The Pictures - not the saws.. ) Savage beasts...

Hey, that looked like a HD Camcorder on that tripod, I can process wide screen HD no worries and even format in HD WMV WIDE SCREEN. Haven't had a camera capable yet though so that one on the tripod looked like the candidate.

Great Saw Rotax! So many times when we are bucking up HUGE logs I think in my head: If we had that predator saw here, we'd be done now

That's larger than normal log right? When you win what do you get, like prize money, maybe $1K or more or less? Or maybe bugger all but a shiny trophy.Have you pulled down the engine since you built it?

Normaly we shoot for 30" diameter, this one was 32+ but I did not get a chance to measure circumference as I usualy do to get a true volume of wood. This show you just get a trophy as all the $ goes to Busted up Loggers. Rotax
