There are a few sunny days, at least 4 or 5 per year

That windows movie maker turned out to be really easy to use once I got a new laptop.

Nice video, was one of those big stump Taxus baccata?? I thought i saw the red
wood. If it was Taxus did you sell the wood?? Woodartists love that wood and are willing to pay for it. It would have been a very old tree, for a taxus to reach that size.

Nice one TC! Well compiled. Are either of the Forbes Bros still working with you? What Radiohead track is that?

That opening shot of the block running down towards the camera is a perla!
Great framing and lighting in the shots too, thanks for sharing

Ta Blair,

Sandy quit climbing and treework round about 2003, he works at nights in a sports centre, damn shame he quit. Gordon's is still at it, Henry Britton(Johnny's son) groundies for him last I heard. Havent worked with Gordon for well over a year, even then it was just the odd climbing job they couldn't do.

Radiohead song - Go To Sleep(Little Man Being Erased)

That opening shot is a rip off of a Reg Coates vid Angus, Its in Reg's 'Hobbs' vid I think. Not sure if it's on here? I saw it and thought, what a cool angle to film from, then went out and copied it the next day.

I try to frame the shots when I get the time, small tripod helps, but sometimes handheld stuff looks better. There's never enough time to film treework, thats why most of shots are at the end of the job - felling spars, blocking timber etc. Need a full time cameraman!

Seems ages since Johnny gave me first shot of spikes. Last i saw of him was a picture in the Sun standing beside his burntout Volvo after the gas cylinder exploded. Good that Liam is still at it, always seemed pretty competent. Cheers, back to trying to free seazed nose sprocket on new 359, might be time for the blow torch??Is it just me or are chainsaws not as rubust as they used to make them?

I'm going to hunt that one down!

There is never enough time to film, that is for certain.
The most interesting aspects of tree work, seems to coincide with everyone on the crew having to show their worth their money.
