Hello treeworlders,

I came across some treetransplantmovies on a dutch treeforum.
This are all dutch companies but they use very different techniques

I guess that some people will go to extremes to "save" a tree.

Around here in the Wild West they chain saw everything down and plant seedlings as replacements and the local officials think that is appropriate way of reforesting and maintaining the Urban Forest as the cities sprawl all over the country side.
I have seen and entire area of forest land in MS clear cut, razed down and put a new subdivision on it. While it would had been a lot nicer for the builder and potential home owners to do a selective removal of trees that were on the way of streets or houses and leave green areas in selective locations to keep the new subdivision cooler in the Summers and protected from strong winds in the Winters ..... but what do I know anyways.
