Default Todays job. Poplar Rigging

Todays job, could have done with Allmark and his new monster to get us out of trouble. Never mind, we managed.

Anyhow, I think we did well today with only 3 of us, trying to make the most of our work ethics and equipment. Making work video?s, to me at least, can definitely provide a positive distraction to a sometimes miserable job. Today seem to fly by.

. Enjoy the film, about 8 minutes duration.

If you get a google error message, let me know if it persists so I can sort it out. Thanks

Excellent.

Crap access job, much better when you can bomb the big logs out. There's a lot of work in the lower log, people see a whole canopy go quickly then the rest of the day is spent on getting big log down and out.

What sort of lowering/winch device is that one?

Great job Reg!

Ekka it looks like a GRCS from here. A fixed lowering bollard was used in the early parts of the vid I believe.

Thats the GRCS, not mine unfortunately.

The job went as easy as it looks on the video, the difference a good experienced crew can make. Barely a word spoken, everyone just tuned into the task. That's Nick Bailey's (Treeworld member) set-up by the way.

I've never taken a large tree down. One day. I've taken palms down, but it doesn't compare to the complex. of a tree take down. Thanx for that vid.

Yeah you could tell everyone knew what to do and expect.

Did all the log have to be carted out ... trolly or something?

I think it was being left at about 6 ft, everything else had to be removed.

We get lots of jobs like that one, all very tight removals.

Like I said though, so much easier when your working with a good team.

Nice Video footage....
You Boys have done well !
Confine space removal at it's best.
Good ground crews makes the big jobs alot easier on the climber. The GRCS is excellent on controlling the limbs and timber, my ground crew love's using the unit! Makes it enjoyable for both climber & groundcrews.
Send so more, only us climbers get the birds eye view.
