Nice work there Eric, thought I read you said somewhere you got 75m3 of chip from this job?

What does the chipper mob do when the truck fills? Do the hours keep ticking on your wallet while they empty it or do they have another truck there ready to go? How many trips or trucks did it take to get rid of all the chip? Whats the go on that?

We left the chip onsite for this one.

They're really good, if it's full and they need to empty they haven't charged me yet. However thought and planning has to go into this and I estimate my chip for every chipping job.

Like yesterday's hoop pine, I guessed 12m3 and it came to about 9m3 ... I generally guess over however does get hard with log.

If it's going to be a job with say 40m3 of chip I'll let them know in advance and they make plans to get rid of it ... so do I sometimes. Never really made money off the chip though usually just happy to empty the truck. Feeding with Kanga and winch it can fill quick, the biggest truck, some 25m3 we can fill in 30 minutes.
