Here is a streaming vid from the Gardening Australia program, Phil Kenyon explains some of the key points to follow when planting advanced tree stock.

The program was shot in one of the fire ravaged communities in Victoria

That clip was on air here last night.

Pity a couple of segments prior was some misinformed gardener telling the all believing public how to lop the absolute crap out of a tree, leave stubs & paint them with wound paint!

I really hate these gardeners on TV telling people what to do with trees.
The public believe them, it must be true if its on TV hey, then we come in telling them otherwise and they dont believe us

Sadly there are a few Horticulturalists that believe they are equipped to give out advice relating to trees without having any real understanding of tree biology, or Arboriculture.

It is an uphill battle to get some of them to acknowledge that they really do not understand all that much about trees, and should defer to a qualified Arborist.
