Default Our Loader

Well the anticipation and demand has been long awaited and finally our first video clip (ever) of our Super Duper Fantastic loader.

This loader runs on two wheels, two legs, a couple of ramps and ALOT of Grunt!

The quality isn't the best due to having to convert it to WMV because the forums won't allow MPEG uploads

It's attached below.
Attached Files
File Type: wmv A-one loader.wmv (378.1 KB, 108 views)

Nice, often good ol' work is more efficient than the fancy contraptions. Though I do like your mini Ekka. Looks like you guys over there move a lot of wood. Where do you dump? Does it get used, or do you have to pay to be rid of it?

Hahaha

Nice, nice, very handy. Just as well ya got a low bed truck!

But shows you can do video and stuff so we get to see more right?

I get rid of hard wood here and there for nicks as firewood but carting is a pain ... on big jobs I just order a skip bin and ditch it.

We move a HEAP of wood. Palms goto the tip, Washy logs goto my mates place to dry then tip, Hardwoods and a few softwoods goto our firewood dealers, the rest of the softwoods goto my mates place and we have BBQ's and burn it off there. The rest of the wood me and my dad pick and choose what we wanna keep.

Lol, that steel trolley in particular me and my dad found on the side of the road like 9 years back now? It's heavy duty full steel frame. That thing can take guesstimated' probably a good 200-300kgs on it - Unlike the cheap ones from Super Cheap (Chinese special). Loaded my mates one(Chinese special) up with a big fat washy log, it bent the tray it sits on.

Those hand trolleys are way better than wheelbarrows for moving wood i reckon.

alopa, youve been warned about the supercrap ones!

Get a good solid one with good wheels/tyres or it'll fall apart in no time.

I need a new one, and a new barrow

We don't have it yet, but will in a few weeks. The one we plan on buying requires no VCR its all onboard memory (2GBs).

If you're interested I'll pm you the link.

We have a few barrows aswell but they defeat the purpose... You need to lift the log into the barrow first where as a trolley is slide it in and under with no lifting required.

Me and my dad plan to re inforce that trolley with a set of weels off the back so no leverage points are needed. Also thinking of adding a lawnmower engine onto it

If you're just going to use if for the web 640x480 res is fine, as you'll probably reduce the size while compressing anyway, but make sure it records at 30 fps or the motion will be jerky. Even if you go to 15 fps during compression, record at 30. Bit off topic, but if you want to PM or start another thread I can elaborate. I worked in digital video compression and editing for a year while recovering from a knee operation.
