Thumbs up Not isolating the pull rope

We felled this firewheel tree. would have been a bugger to isolate the branch for the pull rope to get a tie off.

So I figured I'd show it's just as effective to tie it off.

The tree was multi-leadered, try tie up and pull on a rear leader if you can, less chance of tearing it out or splitting the tree.

Around 1.18mins and 6.41mb WMV

This is a very good and simple technique, we use it quite often esp on sticky things like Grevillea robusta....good vid as always.

The poor little gardenia was sacrificed.

What do they say about wrong place at the wrong time! lol

I asked when quoting and gave the difference in price so the lil guy was targeted.

Was pretty poor speciment, home-owner whipper snipped it to half life, I just put it out of it's misery forest style.

The fence was crap too and the back house all being demolished for new highway! They'll have a 10' high sound barrier wall along there.

Couple hundred bucks.

Would have been crappy to climb that. Not hard or difficult, just crappy, you know, compact, sticks and twigs shoving in ya face taking ya hard hat off, ants biting ya, sore foot from tight forks, dead wood stabbing ya in the bum etc!
