Big wood but I'd rather do that than a big oak or syc over 3 buildings and a road. Takes a lot of balls but where is the degree of difficulty?

I suppose compared to a building it didn't have the same challenges but (being new to the industry) it was leaning back and they did manage to block down into the same area. Also they had walkways adjacent to it. Personally i would have been buggered climbing the bugger!!! I was impressed |

I was impressed too but wonder what is the total elapsed time without editing or with filming the whole sequence. If they hit the skywalk it would have to be totally evaluated for structural safety. What kind of insurance is involved here. How do they get the pieces out if at all. What is the pull line hooked to. Why not pull over the whole stick. Why did he come off the stick when pulling the top pieces and not the lower ones.

Where's the difficulty? Acccckkkkk... You go try some of that stuff. Funny. I had Graeme brush out a "puny" 130 foot, 1400 board foot fir when he was in Seattle for the ISA conference. Handed him a little climb saw, he about laughed. His climb saw is a 460........ Little doubt that he's the best big tree climber, ever! Has done stuff that most of us don't even dream of......the magnitude of those eucs is amazing. Nearly as large as the big redwoods, but more technically challenging due to their form. |

Fred Dibnah, no one can deny, he is a true legend. Graeme, maybe not quite yet. Fred did all that work unsecured. |

| Well, dont know what it takes, or when some would consider the line crossed for the argument however he has done a lot of jobs that no-one else would ... no-one.

Well, that's work, I guess, and this isn't.... but it's more like Fred's romps....but exponentially bolder. those two feats are more like each other than what Graeme does...which is legendary...... as is Dean......... another of Dean's romps.... | |
