Default How not to put a stump grinder on the truck

Lol check out this video - it's all about a weasel.

That guy was a simp.

I've never done that lmao, never taken a run up onto our ramps, always pull from behind and get someone to help up.

Although, as I've gone to get it off, the left hand ramp (damaged at the time) slipped straight out as I was just coming down the ramps, BAM n SLAM went the grinder and smash went my knee .

Funny thing was me and my dad had an arguement before, he actually thought I dumped it on purpose including smacking myself in the knee

Tell us your machinery/gear bloopers.

All the grinders I've had were self propelled.

Also for OHS and your back it's better to push a load rather than pull.

Pulling that up would be really bad for your back if you are bending over say from the ute's tray and heaving it up.

There's allway's two for loading,Unloading it's just one who will run down the ramps after the machine, generally two to three steps. It's all good! Saftey comes first.Hardware allways will get ditched before injury,When possible. We used to have a small winch to pull it on and off but it burned out....damn! That dude sure is a knob..LOL

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/n2eYziyd_oY&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/n2eYziyd_oY&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Yar, when you use your back, your using a pulling motion. Push it and you arn't using any part of your back. But like every thing, do it (pull the stump grinder) with good form and you won't injure yourself.

On our truck, the ramps don't provide enough grip for your feet to be able to pull it up and if you stand at the top and try and pull it from the truck - it's too far and the leverage is that much you can't budge it.

That thing's great, the cutter wheel turns opposite to normal and throws chip forward, that guard catches it. Seems to go alright.
