Just goes to show there's idiots everywhere..whats more stupid the events themselves or the fact they put it all on youtube??

Thats such a small tree too, obviously couldn't spare the $500 odd it would have cost to get a tree company in, reckon that was money well saved

I give em a serve on Youtube, called them scabs!

A scab is a scrooge, also some-one who does ya job when you're on strike ... but in this context a scrooge who put people in harms way for a few measly bucks.

Only a few years ago a guy in Wynnum wanted a stack of trees cut down, some gums. Decided to get his legend bushman mate in who's got a chainsaw ... long story short the guys dead. He fell and got jammed back first and backwards into a tight V fork, they had to cut him out of the tree, dead.

Default She'll be wright tree fools!!

Idiots with a saw, primed to the piont of bravardo with the beer!it must have just missed the blokes that went around the corner for their escape route, Fools luck no one got killed, from the ladder approach to the fist cut it was an accident waiting to happen, If they hadn't had that tag line on it would have went through the house...some mothers do have them!! but then again it was hilarious not on my watch!

What never ceases to amaze me is that idiots like this usually still think they did a great job. Hey, the trees down, thats all that matters isn't it.

Imagine if we turned up at a job and did that! I think this is excactly what some people are thinking when they get a quote, and is the reason why they expect a $1500 job for $250.

I can't believe that what I told the wife was correct----that it was gonna go straight through the veranda. What complete and utter idiots....

Here are a couple of things I noted....

1) Using a diverted pull line, through a door way against the frame.
2) Drinking on the job.
3) No PPE--ANYWHERE???
4) "As an Arborist I am very comfortable" (maybe in his bed at night after he's been paid.)
5) Illegal saw start.
6) What in the hell sort of scarf cut was that meant to be??????
7) Only 1 lemon needs to be taken out, the others should be in a bird cage.
8) Angle of infraction??????
9) If he were an arborist, then he would have known it would go that way. Useless prat.

What a COWBOY outfit....

That's the all new Aussie bugger scarf. Once the back cut is complete the results are sung by many "Oh bugger!"

Yesterday I passed a cowboy couple doing a TD on our Public Holiday. Only had my mobile phone but I pulled over and had a yarn. I'll start a new thread for that one.

The illegal start, possible leg loss...but wait he's an arborist. Thats just common sense. Running with a chainsaw...I wouldn't press my luck. Slightly worse than running with scissors!!!

brainfart asked a question that I thought of a moment before reading his post...

How do you pull a wmv off youtube?

One person who posted for that one on YouTube must not be very bright. They wrote that the tree fell where the notch was set for, and somehow missed the notch was to the ladder's right, but the tree fell back toward the ladder due to failure to read the tree or use the right procedures and tools.
