Default head to head using ascenders

This is my first video post.

It's part of the annual Trans-Tasman Tree Climbing Challenge. This is from last years event with Grant on the left representing OZ and Craig on the right representing NZ.

The Aussies won this heat in record time. New Zealand finished on top overall on the day.

More to come hopefully.

Cheers
Kauriman.

I love it, use the technology!

Where's TreeMachine, he'd love this as a replacement for footlock.

Fast! I'd love to see the gear up close. From a distance it looks like a Gibb's ropewalker system, or a Mitchell system, or less likely (since this was last year's footage) the L/R pantin systems.

Show us more, Kauriman!

Hi Tree Machine.

Both guys are using a standard, one handled ascender, a crol and a panteine on one foot. I have photos of the setup if you would like.

Fast! You are right there. The times for this were faster by a couple of seconds over the footlock times.

Cheers

Be good to see head to head footlock vs ascender dual then.

That is fast, but JimNZ can tell us with authority that racing-style footlocking is flat out faster, I mean, the bar has been set by the world record holders and it is that manner that has shown and is proven to be the fastest.

Those dudes earned the right to tell us how its done.
