This one was shot August 2006 for another crew. If you're not a tree guy and wondered a little about how it's done then you'll like this one. For the seasoned, whilst you can sit here and pick it to bits you can also use the opportunity to learn a few things ... even if they're things you shouldn't be doing. A pumping soundtrack. 17.47mins and 87.53mb wmv http://www.palmtreeservices.com.au/v...lackiesjob.wmv

I first saw this video last year, but it's still a great vid. I watch it pretty often... Does Simon still climb without a slack tender?

Year more of this guy and more big trees that was a heavy job. And no fan of simon BOA07 ![]() than i'm more a fan of eric from his video I have learnt a lot. even if it are only small things. I think for a beginner that's a lot. |

This one if most viewed. Training style vid - felling a side leaner, most viewed video in my collection I would say the reason why is because there's controversy over the adjusted gun felling technique and because loggers as well as arborists watch it.

Great video. I forgot I had watched this one before. Still enjoyed it though. Always something to learn.

| That video never gets old. Ekka you said "use the opportunity to learn a few things ... even if they're things you shouldn't be doing" well what should I not be doing? I dont have spikes yet but man, that video makes me want them even more. Everything just seems so much easier with them. ![]()

Slack tender is another name for a micro pulley under your friction hitch, it advances your hitch with one hand, ie slack tender.
