VSL but it's a bit of friggin around, foams were against the house wall. If I got a bit of a patch against solid stuff I'll go foam, but if it was glass, VSL. You'd have to strip the fronds off first on yours wouldn't ya? Then VSL it into the ground, get a video, be way cool.

I'll try to get Tim to video it, but you'll have to do some work on it before it goes on the site! If Steve climbs it we won't get to VSL the head bit set in his ways. Either way I'll post some photos very big head full of nuts, and yeah very little space! SF |

Mate, those nuts go off like grenades, how you gonna deal with them? If you VSL the head off the nuts could smash stuff.

No, no will rig the nut clusters down seperately, would like to crane the whole darn palm out after that but service lines and street lines in the way on the outside of the unit. Thinking I'll send all the fronds (there is a lot of fronds) down and have them laid on the paving (no foams) then VSL the porcupine down onto them, then VSL all the blocks too. SF |

Good one again ekka. at the music choice! We dont do palms that often but when we do theyre always in such crap tight spots makes em awkward. Need to get me some foams. Are they just like old matress or higher density? |

They're around 6" to 8" thick and really hard, they tend to come out of longe suits rather than beds ... the bed ones are way soft. With these I can stand on them and they wont crush down, sometimes we block out onto paving, decking etc.

Ingenius use of foam! When i worked in california i just used the fronds or tires (pain in the ash to haul the tires or fishing logs out of the frond pile!)

Here we used a board under the furthest left wad of foams and you can see the thickness and the density ... ... hard to find good foam, I'm always on the lookout as they do get hacked up. WMV 3mb www.treeworld.info/video/6foamsandboard.wmv

Mmm, we are on the look out for some good foam like that . At the moment I tend to borrow the 3 garden hoses my mom has around the yards to absorb the impact when I'm chunking down palms onto pavement.
