This guy has been using this system for a while now. He did real well in the masters at a recent TCC too, would have blitzed apart from an unfortunate hangup on final descent. It works pretty good, i've had a bit of a rec climb on it, but haven't tried real work with it yet. Will take a bit of adjustment in technique to get it right. But you have never felt such smooth control on a single line as this. Great way to work a tree in ascent & descent on single line without the expense of a unicender. |

I was in that masters at that competition when Kevin run his single line system, he did do well. Good video too.

Wicked cool. Now I've got to get a revolver and try this. Looks good for doing ice storm hangers where you go up and cut one branch and don't want to switch systems but need a little mobility once you get there! |

That's a pretty slick system. I've heard he still has some issues with limbwalking though. I wonder if you could use a large friction saver ring with the revolver in place of the figure-8 to eliminate some bulk?

that looks like it would be true on coming limb walking. Looks like it would be a pain in body thrusting as well, maybe. I don't have a revolver so I havent tried it. It'll be a bit before I get one but can't wait. To try it!

It does work with a large FS ring virtually the same but you lose the "Handle" that the small end of the F8 gives you. The handle makes it easier to make adjustments. | |
