Default Even Pomie liked the foams!

Haha

There's a guy on here, he's a quiet lurker type.

Had to rejoin coz he got binned in the clean out I had a while ago. His real name is James (not Jim from NZ) and he rejoined as member name pomie.

Yes, he's from UK but been here quite a while, great guy and great arborist. We do the odd job here and there, and today was odd job Thursday.

We had to block a Cuban Royal palm down onto the neighbours paving as the customers side had no room.

Pomie was new to the foam idea but sold on very quick, only needed 2 layers on top of some boards.

The key is landing them flat and accurate, which he did rather well.

Anyway, here's a 4min video 20mb WMV of the job and the foams doing their best.

Nice job as usuall, a big cigar in a bad spot,we dont use foam much hard to find down here, but we do utilise the canopy, fronds as impact absorbers, they work well,You just have to mind the ricoshay's. John tried Stryken's double block method on a Coco's the other day and was impressed with the speed of it,Good work men.

Hi Guys,
Enjoyed the vid, foam worked great. I've heard of using it before, but have never given it a go. Used tyres on top of ply for many years, but you have to watch the hole in the centre! Also use reo mesh as a fence to stop block running away, side only, not underneath.
