There's a lot of trees around that look like that one, good to see you got one in the bag before it was totally dead, many just let them sit there.

What's the natural life of a Gum tree? Is stag-headed the first sign?

That gum had rotation cracks all over it from the november storm, the top was fractured and the unions on the top sections were failing. all the green you see is epicormic growth.

Often is.

They estimated that the giant 400' regnans in Tasmania was less than 500 years old. Gums generally grow fast reaching full height in under 100 years. Of course depends on conditions.

There's 800+ in the species so lots of variation too.
