is this what we want the next generation to be watching and how we want them to be indoctrinated?! in such a climate (pardon the pun), where environmental issues are of such high importance, just what were the BBC thinking?! BBC iPlayer - MySay I thought the title was quite innocent, perhaps even promising, an aspiration for a future career, then I hit play!! i know a lot of people will say 'oh theyre just kids, they dont know any better'. but WHY dont they know any better, and is it not irresponsible to put such an 'opinion' into a position of influence like this. What do they actually teach at schools and perhaps we're not looking at a generation of tree killers, but how many kids do you know that listen more to adults, than their peers in the playground and/or the oracle that is the television? Not available to see outside of UK. Wankers! Can you download it? Try the right click and "save as", let me know if you get it then I can grab a copy and host it. BBC - BBC iPlayer - Help - Can I use BBC iPlayer outside the UK?

think ive got it. downloaded and ready to go as a wmv file. just let me know how to get it to ya. It's 20.5mb with hindsight, perhaps im overreacting over this clip. I know it's only a kid's daft viewpoint, but if he had been properly educated in school, would he have this viewpoint? and are the BBC behaving responsibly by broadcasting, therefore seemingly endorsing it? edit... dammit, bloody copyright licencing rubbish is stopping it working on my other computer that doesnt have bbci player on it. errm... synopsis. 9 year old lad walking down a path with camera on him. says he thinks all the trees in the world should be cut down, says theyre dangerous, they drop branches on your head when youre sat under them trying to have a quiet moment, then his mate comes along and says he hates trees too because theyre dangerous for cats, they can get stuck in them and injured. Then keeps on about how if the trees were cut down they could build more clubhouses, and then how he's allergic to them, pulls out an asthma inhaler. hardly nazi propaganda I grant you, but is it a positive message? |

Hi, Going on your synopsis, It is a real shame for the youth is our future,With this misguided outlook on Trees you can understand the ripem down attitude Trees are a renewable resource managed properly,Which need formative prunning whilst young to promote good strong growth in the desired direction for the purpose for the tree generally speaking. So does the young and imature boys/girls need guidence and direction to help them lead a good and fruitfull life on the right side of the law. This outlook need to be adressed. And the attitude of our youth towards trees and all things living needs to be taught on a positive outlook, yes trees can have faults,Most times they can be corrected and survive with minimal threat to the inhabitants of the earth...including cats! Our future on this planet called Earth is destined to be a bleak one, Full of dust and famone if this is the taught outlook of our youth. Most times comments like these portrayed in your synopsis is usually a mirror of mum and dads ideas as these lads are still growing in the wonder of "What's it all about"?. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Its sad to hear kids talk like that about one of the most important vegetation on the planet.Yes trees can fail and have faults[so do people ],yes animals can get injured in them[thats a given],yes many people are allergic to the but when fossil fuels are used up what will we have left?We will always have trees and its hardly worth worrying about the opinions of a few kids because if anything most governments are working to protect trees not remove them.I also personally blame the media and democrats for the way kids act today, nothing wrong with discipling your children and grounding them from a video for a week ain't punishment.I got the belt to the arse when i misbehaved and it didn't screw me up,if anything it helped me.
