Thumbs up Bridging palms| Butt Tying

Often to protect garden edges or plants beneath this technique can be deployed.

Big wide open mouth scarf allows the head of the palm to hit the ground first. In fact one of the drops it remained on the stump which was handy.

Butt tied with allowances made for the drop of the butt onto the rope. I tie cow hitches coz they snug up real nice with no slack and hold well.

Some amateurs do try this by just back cutting and peeling them over but they can and do barber chair or peel off and fall down .... sort of stuff I was doing @ 1999

Make sure the palms are long enough to bridge whatever it is beneath, I have used this technique above fish ponds, shrubs etc .....

Work smarter not harder.

Why climb and block when you can tie and drop?
