Looks like a great series to come.
I dont think we will get it in Oz though?????
Any possibility of someone putting it on the site/net????

I like their attitude. Obviously from years of experience. "Everything could kill you here.....we put our lives on the line everyday"
Some would say thats taking it up for the camera,,, I'd say that attitude will bring you home tonight.

Cheers LNG

The guy says, "You couldn't just wimp out with an accident like this, I mean, It's only a hand..."

I'd like to see them try some SRT or tying stuff for rigging with one hand and a claw.

Eh, it's only a hand...wth... you've got 2 afterall, deal with it!

I like the part when the guy says "I went back to work the day after I got out of the hospital....... it was only a hand I lost!

Holly s...t

I am so lucky that I work indoors in a relative safe environment. Some workers put their life on the line every day to just barely pay their bills .... Pretty sad.

I watched he premier episode, most of them were only wearing chaps and a hard hat but thats more than me.Mostly yarder set ups and talking not so much dropping or logging and of course saftey this saftey that, everything can kill you out here, same old same old.I did however appreciate them not showing how the guys made thier cuts so people can't watch that and say hey i saw how pros do it i think that tree out back needs to come down. Then it would end up on youtube.

i just watched. you can clearly see why that industry produces a high number of incidents. alotta morons and only a handfull of real thinkers. jeezuz some of those clowns are stupid. if that yarder operator quit id never let his whiney ass back. he d be workin at walmart. and as for the idiot trying to keep the cable clear as the chopper was spinning it out........your an IDIOT! he s going to end up looking like his boss and then they can start a buisness{limbless logging} is the dollar raelly that important, and are they really making that much to justify those rediculous moves?
man could they use a cable slingshot or what. maybe even a cable catapult.

Yeah Shea,

I just got done watching it tonight too, that guy who was "tending" the cable that the chopper was hauling out... crazy! Chopper's pulling cable from these coils on the road, at 60mph. The guy reaches down and grabs the cable to "keep it from kinking", and it catches him and just about rips his leg off!!

I got a kick out of the yarder that was built from a converted sherman tank.

Sucked that the one guy strained his back, but they throw the other older bloke down in the brush to be a choker and they're all harassing him cuz he hasn't had to work lower than the upper landing area for apparently quite a load of years.
The other guy who they're showing how to operate the aerial rig has this dumbfounded look on his face that they caught in a perfect freeze frame... priceless.

I hope Daryl sends you the last night Assmen too.

It got to a point where on one crew, they had to install a hook up about 50 feet up in a 2 and half foot stem with the top blown off (gone). Well......you d have thought they asked the guy to jump into shark infested waters. After about a half hour wine athon he finally got some old cruddy worn out gear together and, still wining and moaning headed up this huge trek . Looked like he had a saddle from the 60 s and about a 3/4 inch manilla hemp core rope. He got about 10 feet off the ground and started crying about his foot strap. Turns out it had rotted through and you ll never guess what they.......maybe you will.....

They duct taped the spike right to his ankle

There s one squared away (seemingly) crew out of four. That crew has taken 64 loads off the site. The next crew has 13, the next 12 and the next has11. One dude after the carrier (carriage?) went down and all production stopped and they had to lower the unit, admitted to forgetting to put the gas cap back on when fueling and all the diesel sloshed out. Every time a guy has his back to you and he turns around , kind of expect his face to be Barney Fife's.
