|  2011 Tasmanian Tree Climbing Championships The Tasmanian Tree Climbing Championship was run in City Park Launceston this weekend. The event followed on from a Tree Climbing Workshop put on by Joe Harris & Pat Kenyon. It was a good turn out to both, with some Tassie climbers picking up some great tips from Joe & Pat that will surely help their climbing bag of tricks, both for work & competitions. After tightly contested preliminaries, the Masters Challenge (dedicated to Scott Sharpe) came down to 2010 champ Juri Megarrity, Warrick McConnell, James Armstrong & Nathaniel Smith. Final placings (TBC) were: 1st Nathaniel Smith 2nd Juri Megarrity 3rd Warrick McConnell 4th James Armstrong Photos are up on our Facebook Page here |

Thanks for coming down Trev! It was a great couple of days and as someone who's still very green to climbing trees, found everyone to be helpful and supportive what was great to see  |
