| I will hands down say this. Internet Explorer is the worst browser out there, if you build websites then you'll hate it even more. Yet, 80%+ of people out there are using it. Why? Because Bill Gates thrust it upon you and it came with the windows operating system. Well, I'm on a mission to convert as many people as possible to Firefox. You will get better looking pages, add ons that are just so cool to work with, WAY LESS malware downloaded. Download firefox free

| You've instantly converted me Ekka. I didn't vote because I just stopped using IE, and haven't really started to use firefox yet. ![]() Used to use other stuff but been using IE for quite a while now. You're right, its just cuz its easy and comes with windows.

| IE for me. I was using Foxfire but some of the newspapers I read online have active video ads running in the side bar and Foxfire doesn't scroll well so I went back to IE. Works fine. |

| I tend to use Firefox the most, but occassionally use IE. When I design my site, I notice that IE and Firefox display similar, but slightly different. Like my menu, it sits up tight on IE, but down a 1/4" on Firefox. IE turns 1 pixel frame borders into more like 2 - 3 pixel borders, but Firefox displays a 1 pixel border as a 1 pixel border. I tend to go with Firefox to steer clear of IE being more of a magnet for hidden dangers thrust into the internet. Either one seems to do the job though. |

| I'll sometimes use IE, if a site requires it, but 99 percent of the time it's Firefox. The addons alone make it the choice for me. A few of my favorites: StumbleUpon and del.icio.us addons SEO addon Split browser addon ReloadEvery addon I've got over 30 of these installed. They are easy to turn on and off to conserver resources, and they make many tasks much quicker.

| Firefox has an addon which allows you to click and see the page as IE. I love the tools you get with it and it renders very clean and crisp. With the SEO tools you get a button and just click it to see imported css code for sites, that's so cool. I also have the Stumble tool bar, should use it more!

Opera has its own built in Widgets and Bittorrent. Pretty nifty for the unsavy computer user. Just outta curiosity, what is the number of users using Opera here in your Awstats?

| I've built several computers and always used IE because that's what was included with Microsoft's OS. I just built one and installed Ubuntu (linux) on it, seeing how it was free for just downloading it, and it comes with FireFox. I've noticed some stuff doesn't show up with Firefox like some advertisements. (might be bad for a site who depends on those ads for revenue) Of course I don't miss that but so far like Firefox every bit as much as IE. The Ubuntu OS works great too! Takes a bit of getting use to to install new programs on but then I haven't had any problems with malware either. The version of Ubuntu I put on the machine was 7.04. It runs faster than Windows XP. I did try their latest version which is 7.10 and it runs slower for some reason so went back to 7.04 until they get the bugs worked out of it. Microsoft should be concerned if very many folks catch wind of Ubuntu! Or at least the version I'm usi |
