Thank you from metro Atlanta (Marietta), Georgia! I am not in the profession as an arborist, logger, etc. - just a regular homeowner whose father-in-law happens to have two wood stoves that eat about 4 cords of firewood per year! I am a Stihl fan (got that from my FIL), and will likely have questions about how to proceed in my apparently rapidly progressing disease! Great forum, looking forward to being a member! |

Hi everyone I'm Hely and I live in the Blue Mountains of NSW. What I would like from this forum is to expand my almost non existing knowledge of australian trees. I love my garden - however I am a total amateur. So - here I am, willing to learn! |

Hi I'm Jeremiah. I just found this site.. cool. I'm a tree removal guy. I run Stihl saws 051 090 045 460 20t 038 028 ![]() Have recently purchased the 045 can't find an air filter for it. The one on it is quite threadbare, but the saw runs like a champ; close to the 460 just weighs more. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks for the welcome to this cool site. ttyl jerry |

Hi all, ![]() Have visited this site quite a few times for a browse and when I'm looking for some generic information. It has always been extremely useful so I thought I'd sign up! I've done a some (very minor) tree work with the Queensland State Emergency Service (SES) over the last six years. They've trained me in height safety, roof damage/repairs and Level 1 Chainsaw (Trim and Crosscut felled trees). Generally our work extends to removal of branches and small trees from houses; but only enough to enable us to put a bandaid on any holes in a roof to stop the wet stuff from pouring in. I'd like to think that I have knowledge know where my limits lie and when to call in the professionals! Looking forward to having a much better browse of your site in due course. Regards Dirkvhp |

Hi, my first attempt at a "thanks for the welcome" post was deleted by Eric as I mentioned another forum and I work for a woodchipper manufacturer and this was deemed as advertising. Regards to the wider forum. Pete B |

Though I would add that I signed up when I brough my MS460Mag, before I even had something to burn the wood in .Cut wood last winter for myself, parents and sister and about to get into it again. I work on a mine site so I go there on my days off and get the wood out of the massive wind rows that they have heaped up waiting to burn. Found out last year that the 460 is a bit big when cutting ub 6" trees and branches, so now im looking at adding a MS170 to the team. What do you think worth trying to find someone to import one or just go local?? Thanks Shane |
