Hi everyone, Just introducing myself. My name is Ed, I am acting as a representative for Wychwood Forestry Tree Surgeons and I intend to be involved in the treeworld community as much as possible. I see it as a great opportunity to meet new people in the trade and educate myself further. |

G day every one Joined site as bit s to help mates out has grown to a point where I might be able to earn a living. That and moving from the other side of the country has caused my some problems of my own. So pretty much I here to learn. Simple things like requirements to work as a lopper in Qld chain saw accreditations, who hires out wood chippers and who can get me the best saws ceapest

Thank you for your welcome. Hello everyone. I have been reading up on Poincianna trees on this site. Most helpful. I have this huge tree in my back yard and I think it has borers or some such little beasties. I have tried to get an arborist out previously but no one has ever actually turned up. Know any reliable ones? |

For some one who does not know how to post you have done pretty darn well, you quoted Ekkas post, and found the welcome thread. So tell us all are you really here to join in the discusions or are you here to disrupt good threads ?? I wait with baited breath for your reply...

I'm not that good with computers, but I have no troubles navigating around this web site what so ever. Just look for the subject forum, for example, if you want to ask an Arborist, click in there, start your thread, ideas of a thread will pop up, and if your question is close to the start of the idea thread, click on it, and you might have found the same question. If it is in chain saws, go to that section, same thing. Everything is so straight forward, and easy to get around here, that you should not have any troubles, what so ever. Bruce.

Nice thread, very nice forum. Hello, I am new, in Michigan USA (far side of the world heh). You guys rock. I'm I guess what you would call a somewhat advanced amateur, maybe 200 hrs, 80 trees. Some climbing, not much. Some ropework. Lots of directional falls, lots of fallen wedged crap to get down. Strictly clearing and firewood, mostly around the property. My 55 is about to die, I'm thinkin a 357xp. I also have small Echo. I can't get enough of the vids. |

Hello from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Excellent site, so glad I stumbled upon it. Just finished a job on Mackinac island, tall trees on airport approach. We had a mild winter this year which made working in the woods a breeze. The snow wasn't knee deep and and the wind chill wasn't to bad. And I don't have to go back cut all the stumps off. It is great to a site to learn new techniques. Thanks. |

Hello, I'm originally from the northwoods of Minnesota and now reside in the Cleveland Ohio area. I work on a golf course as an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent and enjoy climbing trees, treework in general and working on chainsaws. This looks like an awesome forum/website. I look forward to learning, researching and adding some insight from time to time. Curtis |

(I posted in some wrong thread; can't find it). My dad had me cut down a trapped tree, I got a faceful of nasty water, the saw got drenched, but I got it down. It was f'n awful. It was about 800 ft. |

| WTF is a trapped tree? Did you both have to like corner it and at the last minute jump on it like Steve Irwin did with crocodiles or did you use a net to catch it?

By trapped, I mean caught up in another tree. Not down. Tricky physics. I get that all the time.It royally pisses me off. Usually I get a faceful of nasty water to boot.
