G'day TreeTopTim and Talcott

Talcott, 40 years of trimming wires, man that's a long time ... you'd have some stories to tell I'm sure.

Have you been like cutting for the whole 40 year or are you doing something else?

Default Hello from Kansas City

Ok so you may be thinking i live in the vast desert of flat lands in middle america. With nearby towns named Prairie Village why not think of the odd tree along the creek in the middle of the plains. "Plains" as in plain old prairie. But folks around here on the east side of the state we have lots of hills and trees to climb. Been a rec climber since 1996 and have invented lots of toys and tools to aid the climber. My best toy is the flying trampoline swing made from an 8 foot round tramp suspended with a six leg spider. Hang that from a 40 foot limb and you can load it with a ton of people.

Well, I see Dan House made it here to Australia with his Treetramp!
Nice to hear from you again. Thanks for the Rope Friction savers. They are still going strong. Got a new rope from Master Splicer Nick (150' of Yale- Blaze) it is great and definitelly it is BRIGHT. Take care and See you in Colorado at the Rendezvous or maybe sooner.
How close were you guys to the Tornado in Greensburg?

Hi, Margie from Wichita, Ks. Just wanted to say "hello". I've just found this site and it is great. I know I'll have lots of questions , cause about all I know is that trees grow in the ground. We had late snows here and most of my fruit trees and ornamentals are suffering because of it. We are about 1 1/2 hours from Greensburg. There are no trees left there. Our son is a Firefighter here and word back is not really good. Some funny stuff too. Thanks for a great site.

It's great, every day we have people drop on by.

Hi to all the new guys, you know you'll have to post something too eventually.

Pics make it easy to break the ice, maybe a job you did or a defect you saw.

Hi Guys
Being new to this site, just thought I would say hi from the Caribbean, Grenada to be more precise, where we are about to open a recreational tree climbing and training center, makes a change from 18 years running my own business as an arborist, but should be fun..... seen plenty of austrailians for the cricket this last month..... well done lads, as an irishman I didn't know we even had a cricket team.!!!!
Some nice trees here though, even after huricane 'Ivan'.
Will post some pics as soon as I can..

Hello Tree World
I enjoy the information available online. Thanks for sharing your stories good and bad. While we went through a rough period on some of the other forums, things are looking better now. Keep posting your stories and videos.
