Hello Tree World,

Found your wonderful site while surfing to find help identifying a tree in Tucson, Arizona.

I called the U.S. Forest Service for help today but because the tree isn't on forest service land they declined to help me! Where do my taxes go?

I found your site searching for help. I realize now that I should photograph a seed pod and post it for further assistance.

Well, for someone who named her PC "The Confuser" it will be easier for me to photograph the far side of the moon. But I am determined to have a name for the beautiful tree that has captured my attention for so long.

Wish me luck!!

Raven

Willem,

Your pictures enhance my enjoyment of newly found Tree World site.

I used to wonder if trees could be saved that way. Makes me exhausted contemplating the prep/tooling up for the job..then the actual moving event!
WOW!

Videos like the good 'ol boy climbing a tree with his wife cheering him on gives new meaning to the term "Red Neck."

I don't know Jack (or Jill) about climbing a tree but seeing that guy just felt WRONG!!!

Thanks for the welcome. My interest in this site is to find help for my trees. I live on several beautiful acres, but I am concerned that many of my trees are diseased. Specifically, some have decreased foliage, dead limbs and I think, a fungal infection in the bark. I also have some bushes that are dying (not sure if it's related).
1) Do the symptoms sound like any particular disease?
2) Can you treat large trees for infections and save them?
3) I live in Duncanville, Texas. Is there support from the USDA or any other agency to preserve trees? I haven't been able to find any.

I sure hope you all can help me save my trees,
Mrsmayab

this seems like a pretty sweet site so far. just beginning to search it now. i'm from canada and have yet to venture much further, but i have worked with quite a few aussies and kiwis. you have far better training programs for climbers than we do. i gave up on climbing and became a faller on the west coast of bc, all heli logging. the training and safety is so much more advanced than what is available to us for climbers.
