I'd say it should be left hidden, I get enough crap sent to me without my name being spread all over the southern hemisphere too.

I hid it for a few reasons.

Anonymity, some people just want to be here and not hassled, become a member and read etc. Some are landscape architects through to insurance people etc.

Another is member confidentiality and privacy, the list is even hidden from search engines etc, however if the member posts that's different but basically there's no wholesale list for anyone to use.

Out of the near 1000 members when I do an email out there's only maybe a dozen bad email addresses, most members are genuine however some dont post.

Quercus, there's 4 other Belgians on here, some are on when you are on but dont post, one is high profile too.
