It only feels like yesterday that Tree World hit the net. But that was 3 years ago in 2007. Here we are today, almost 6000 members of which we have around 5500 fairly genuine, the remainder are banned or spam trolls etc (yeah about 500). I have often considered deleting them but it's better to have them as a reference and use the information to prevent further troll/spam attacks. The database is very accurate with large mail outs like for the calculators getting no errors or adverse returns so in all the numbers, posts, threads etc is all solid. We have a strong presence in Google, out rank most of our rivals, offer diversity with a lot of content from around the globe. We have been influential in "tree cases" world wide and helped hundreds of people .... all for free by the volunteers of this forum (posters and moderators). We pledge no allegiance to any specific organisation, offer at no charge advice and information, in all I would say the direction taken has been the right one. We have more members than some other forums which have been around 10 years! ![]() The blend of drama, information and humour I feel is unique to this forum. A stuck up place run by techno tree nerds will always be a dead dump as intellectuals compete for head space and shun those of lessor knowledge. Political correctness especially amongst different cultures is always a tough one and what can be considered OK in one place absolutely not in another, to understand that means a tolerant community and I believe we have that here. We are regular folk, often write as we speak and to lose that is like losing part of your culture, even our tourism ads ask where the bloody hell are you. We can dicuss the issues others would prefer swept under the carpet, we can show good practices/work and the poor, we can get the message out to the greater community. I think we have something special here and I certainly send a lot of my clients here to get information or help. It's our community and we all contribute toward it, even the silent readers because without them we'd just be talking to ourselves. THE DRAW ENTRIES AND CONDITIONS I have 10 shirts to give away, so we can have 10 winners, style and sizes can be a problem so I will try my best to match you up but please be flexible. This draw is real easy to enter, just post in this thread. On 25 January 2010 at 6.00pm Brisbane Qld time I'll do the draw. Please note that the following day (26 January) is Australia Day so I cant mail these until the Wednesday at the earliest. I wonder how many people will be having the Monday off anyway making a 4 day long weekend? Polo's Size M: 1 x Black and 1 x Burgundy Size L: 1 x Black, 2 x Navy Sweatshirts Size M: 1 x Navy, 1 x Blue Size L: 1 x Navy, 1 x Burgundy T-Shirt: Only 1 x XL Black with pocket
