Not a big deal ......but i could suggest that a note should be on the page stating that the measures and calculations are in "metric" system. There are lots of people worldwide that still uses the SAE system......so they would require some conversion chart...... Unless you can but an option button to choose in "feet" or "meters". Alain, |

It is a big deal, there is no other like this on the internet, period. Obviously the units of measure are the same as whatever you input.

Ellipse criteria is working. Also it will throw up an error is R2 exceeds R1 in size, and so it should.

Love the online calculator. these are basic questions, but: What formula is used for the ellipse volume calculation? What formula is used for the cylinder volume calculation? In the cylinder calculations, does "h" refer to the height of the tree or the height of just the canopy? thanks much, |

Colonel Sanders never exposed his secret herbs and spices yet people eat the stuff. I believe Coca-Cola is the same. But I am sure a real savvy internet bloke or website programmer would find the answer as there must be a hidden formula somewhere for the program to make the calculations. Quote:
