Quote:
The Tree Research and Education Endowment Fund, also known as the TREE Fund, was established via a merger of the former Research Trust of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and the National Arborist Foundation of the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA). Organized as a charitable trust in the state of Illinois on July 20th 2002, the roots of the TREE Fund go deep into the arboriculture profession and industry.
The broad purpose of the trust is to support the advancement of knowledge in the field of arboriculture and urban forestry to benefit people, trees and the environment.
In addition to funding scientific research related to tree care and urban forestry, the TREE Fund also promotes the study of arboriculture through college-level scholarships and support of educational programs for children ages 5 -18.
