| Just looking through the private messages and I don't have any recent ones. The most recent one I have is May 2nd 2007. Did the server take a dump?

| Yep, the SQL server had corrupted data, table problem. Ipower the host is giving usual shit service and their online chat help is some 98min wait and they are slow as snails with email. So I'd say that it wasn't just us. They have been in some transition mode moving to new servers and Vdecks etc ... all my other sites have been migrated but not this one. However when I went into the dtabase it was different looking, something going on and I'd say many affected. Luckily only PM's hit, I've backed everything up and now looking for assistance on trying to reinstate those PM's.

| Guess that's what I get for not backing up the TON of data I'd aquired through PM's into text files.

| Give it say 24hours to 48 hours and I'll knwo if we can get them back. Could be a trade off though, get back old ones and dump anything new.

| Well, bad news, goes like this. We can try to restore a back up, taken a week ago, all posts, PM's etc since that backup are lost but you will have the majority of your PM's. Or we lose the PM's just like now. Personally, I'd rather lose the PM's coz what if the restoring of the back up also screws up and we lose members and posts. Bite the bullet I say, lose PM's, executive decision, the programers are waiting for my answer.

| I can delete all your PM's from the admin CP, it gives me that option, a total whitewash, zap bam gone! Bad part is I cant read them but if you like I can clear your PM's, should tidy up the database too. Just call it, same for everyone, delete member's PM's is there as an option and it might give you that fresh slate you're looking for. ![]()
