Well, no-one cares apparently.

My suggestion is contact the botanical gardens and get some from them, they'd be collecting them frequently from all the palms.

Another place to ask is your local council if they have palms in their municipality they might harvest some for you.

We have a Canary Island Date Palm pruning job in Mordialloc on Tuesday ( i think...) and you are welcome to take some at the time of the job
