In the same vein as
Redland City Council the North Sydney Council also restricts trade and is in bed with the NAAA.
Straight off their website on
this link you'll read the following:-
Quote:
Who can prune or remove trees once a permit has been issued?
The National Arborists Association of Australia has a list of qualified and insured contractors available on their website at http://www.naaa.net.au |
I have loaded a PDF of the page just in case they realise their bias and restriction of trade. What makes matters worse is that to the best of my knowledge the President of the NAAA works for a council.
I encourage all readers to research councils and see the manipulation of the market place. Imagine driving memberships (and $'s) on the fact that if you are not a member you are not on the list and miss out on work!
There's even published evidence of the boys club at work where
inbound leads are passed to their buddies but this is a boys club on a grand scale.

A council funneling work down one organisations throat (or their members throats), is that your future like the old closed shop union days?
